Must-See Baseball Jersey Tracker June 4: Crowns and Cosmic Uniforms

The buzz of the baseball world in the first week of June came courtesy of the Tri-City Chili Peppers — or, more accurately, the Cosmic Chili Peppers.

The social media accounts of Major League Baseball, Jomboy Media and plenty more around the game spotlighted the June 1 debut of Cosmic Baseball in the Costal Plain League.

Not that Cosmic Baseball needed any additional light.

Tri-City's glow-in-the-dark uniforms and Cosmic Baseball return on June 15 for a rematch with the Greenbrier Knights. Described on the team store as "Hottest Swag of the Year," Chili Peppers' Cosmic Baseball gear is available for purchase.

From the bright, neon lights of Cosmic Baseball to the red carpet in the Frontier League, this edition of the FloBaseball Must-See Jersey Round-Up makes way for royalty.

Joliet Slammers

Guests including Moana, Elsa and Jasmine joined the Joliet Slammers for Princess Night, part of the Slammers' home series against the Lake Erie Crushers.

Joliet continues its homestand with a series against the Trois-Rivieres Aigles, which includes the Slammers' Polish Heritage and Pajama Nights. Stay tuned for the scenes from the Frontier League.

Gastonia Baseball Club

The Atlantic League's Gastonia Baseball Club continues to use its 2024 rebranding to introduce a variety of unique, fun looks. On deck for Gastonia's series with Pablo Sandoval and the Staten Island Ferryhawks, the Club becomes the Gastonia Bolognia.

Meanwhile, previewing what's to come, Gastonia debuted one of the rebrands on the horizon for later in the season. The Club introduced another food theme, becoming the Gastonia Ghost Peppers for an August series.

Glacier Range Riders

The Pioneer League's Glacier Ranger Riders wear camouflaged alternates as part of the usual uniform rotation. However, their most recent time breaking them out was an especially memorable one.

In their 8-6 win over the Great Falls Voyagers on June 1, pitcher Jonathan Pintaro learned his contract had been purchased by MLB's New York Mets.

Oakland Ballers

Staying in the Pioneer League, this week marks the historic first-ever home series for the Oakland Ballers. The Ballers debuting home uniforms have special significance, keeping alive the historic green-and-gold look immediately associated with Bay Area baseball.

Oakland's MLB franchise may be leaving, but the Ballers are keeping the city's baseball tradition alive — and fans have taken notice.

The team store is sold out of the team's home jersey, but both the green away jersey and gold alternate are available. The Ballers' gold invokes thoughts of the 1970s Swingin' A's, a transformative squad in the game's history.
