The Kubota College Baseball Series Weekend 2 begins on Feb. 23 and features teams from four Power-5 conferences as part of the three-week College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

One of those teams is one of the best in the country. The second best to be exact, according to one poll. No. 2 Arkansas Baseball arrives at Arlington for the second year in a row with a 3-1 record after the opening weekend of the season.

Armed with one of the best freshmen classes in college baseball, and one of the country’s best pitchers in Hagen Smith, Arkansas is seen as one a handful of teams that can win it all in Omaha in June. 

The Razorbacks didn’t have a clean weekend, though, battling winter weather in Fayetteville, the Hogs dropped the third game of the season against James Madison, 7-3. 

Now they’ll face Oregon State, who in one poll was ranked as high as No.3 and feature one of the top prospects in baseball, Travis Bazzana.

When Is The 2024 MLB Draft?

The actual time and date of the MLB Draft hasn't been announced, but it will take place during 2024 MLB All-Star Week. MLB All-Star festivities kick off on Sunday, July 14, with the main event taking place on Tuesday, July 16.

In 2023, the draft began All-Star week on the Sunday before Tuesday's game between the National League and American League. 

The draft began at 2 p.m. EST in 2023.
