Elon baseball hasn’t found its way to the top of the Coastal Athletic Conference standings yet, but the Phoenix can stumble upon a major nonconference win Tuesday night if the game turns in their favor.

Buies Creek, North Carolina has turned from a sleepy place south of Raleigh to a mid-major baseball fortress over the past decade-plus, and now another major-conference squad is making the trip down to test their might against the Fighting Camels on their home diamond.

Northeastern baseball, despite losing an extremely close extra-innings game against Kansas State less than 24 hours ago, must immediately turn their attention to UNCW.

Kansas State and Northeastern, perched at No. 38 and No. 35 in RPI, respectively, will meet for a one-off mid-week matchup as each try to beef up their regular season resumes.

Maryland baseball will travel to Delaware for a late-season non-conference matchup. The Terrapins, despite not being ranked in the Top 25, are nearly in the Top 50 of RPI at 23-14 on the season. The program has strong wins on their 2024 resume, including defeating Georgetown, Indiana and Portland. However, a big weekend matchup against Nebraska looms.

North Carolina State baseball, currently ranked just outside the Top 25 Coaches Poll, will travel two hours south to take on in-state foe UNC Wilmington in a mid-week matchup.

Northeastern baseball, with wins in eight straight and 11-of-12 overall, heads into a Coastal Athletic Association series with Towson baseball looking to keep rolling. The first and last game of the series will be streamed live on FloBaseball.

Campbell baseball will be trying to climb both back into the national spotlight and up the CAA ladder as it welcomes North Carolina A&T, a squad who has mostly surprised early on in the season but is in danger of falling fast, for a trio of games at 6:00 p.m. Friday, 3:00pm Saturday and 2:00pm Sunday (all Eastern Time) at Jim Perry Stadium. All three games will be streamed live and exclusively on FloBaseball.

Elon baseball and Campbell baseball, in-state counterparts, square off as Coastal Athletic Association foes for the first time on March 29-21. And the meeting has potentially pivotal implications.

William & Mary baseball may have some recent history on its side, whereas Delaware will go into its next conference series coming off some particularly notable Coastal Athletic Association baseball wins.
