After a thrilling nightcap on Day 2 of the Shriners Children's College Baseball Showdown ended with No. 9 TCU picking up a massive win over No. 7 Arkansas, the Razorbacks hope to end their Arlington trip on better terms.
Arkansas faces Texas Tech in the afternoon matchup at Globe Life Field.
The Hogs run-ruled Oklahoma State in the nightcap on Friday and had a rally fall just short on Saturday against TCU. Arkansas trailed 5-1 in the fourth inning but scored three runs over the next three innings and were in striking distance of knocking off the Horned Frogs.

So far, Ryan Helfrick, Niu Maika and Camden Kozeal, along with a strong bullpen, have led Arkansas.
Against Texas Tech, Arkansas will be heavy favorites. The Red Raiders have been outscored 23-6 in two games, including an eight-inning loss to No. 23 Vanderbilt on Saturday. Oklahoma scored five runs in the ninth on Friday to end that game early.
The Red Raiders entered the season looking to bounce back after a 20-33 season a year ago but have played one of the most difficult schedules in college baseball so far — Oklahoma State and TCU are in the same boat.
On Sunday at the College Baseball Showdown, all bets are off as teams test their bullpens, which may make things interesting for both the Hogs and Red Raiders. Tech has used 12 pitchers so far this weekend, while Arkansas has used just five.

College Baseball Run Rule Explained
NCAA baseball generally tries to play full nine-inning games, but a run rule is sometimes used, most often in non-conference games, showcases, tournaments, the final game of a series, and doubleheaders.
When it’s in effect, a game can end in the seventh inning if one team leads by 10 or more runs. In seven-inning scheduled games, the run rule applies in the fifth, and it’s generally not used in regular-season conference play since conferences set their own rules.
