For the first time this season, college baseball will have a new No.1 team.

Arkansas Baseball rose to the top spot in the D1Baseball Top 25 after previous No.1 Wake Forest Baseball dropped two games last week in its ACC opening series and fell to 12-3 overall. The Demon Deacons went down six spots to No. 7.

The Razorbacks (13-2) have been No. 2 in most polls since week 2.

LSU (14-2) moved to No. 3 while Oregon State (15-1), whose only loss is to Arkansas at the Kubota College Baseball Series last month, moved to No. 3.

The SEC continues to dominate the top 10. Now owning the No. 1, the SEC features four of the top top-5 teams and 60% of the top 10. There are nine SEC teams ranked at the D1Baseball.

Three ACC teams, Duke, Wake Forest and Clemson round out the top 10. The Blue Devils took the ACC-opening series against Wake Forest two games to one.

Arkansas begins SEC play on March 15 with Missouri and will face No.2 LSU on March 28.

East Carolina remains just outside the top 10. The Pirates play UNCW on March 12 on FloBaseball.

Duke Baseball Climbing In Baseball America Poll

Duke jumped nine spots in Baseball America’s Top 25 following its series win over Wake Forest. The Blue Devils won games of 8-5 and 10-8 and lost the middle game 6-3.

Ranking No. 12 in the previous poll, Duke went to No. 3 in the poll, behind only No. 1 Arkansas and No. 2 LSU. Wake Forest went to No. 7.

UNC Baseball Moves Up After Campbell Win

The Tar Heels beat ranked Campbell last week 7-3 and then swept Pittsburgh in the ACC opener. UNC went to No. 14 in the Baseball America Poll and moved up one spot in the D1Baseball poll.

Campbell remained in the rankings at No. 21 in the D1Baseball rankings and No. 25 at Baseball America.
