Texas A&M Baseball heads to Arlington, Texas, as the No. 7-ranked team in the country and our undefeated. But the Aggies will be tested for the first time the season away from College Station at the Kubota College Baseball Series Weekend 3 starting on March 1.  

Texas A&M has outscored opponents 93-10 in their 8-0 start of the season with wins over McNeese, UIW, Wagner and Lamar. 

Led by senior Ted Burton (.450/1.543/.950), sophomore Jace LaViolette (.433/1.681/1.167) and the No. 10-ranked prospect Braden Montgomery (.933/1.371/.857). 

The Aggies have been led on the mound by Ryan Prager and Justin Lamkin, Chris Cortez and Evan Aschenbeck. The four starters have combined to go 4-0 and allowed just three runs in 38 innings. Prager has 19 strikeouts in 11.2 innings and two starts.

Texas A&M Baseball Prospect Jace LaViolette Could Go No. 1 in 2025 MLB Draft

LaViolette, a center fielder, has hit six home runs to start the season. A freshman All-American standing 6-foot-6-inches tall and at 230 pounds hit 21 home runs and hit .287 with 63 RBI. He's the No. 2-ranked college prospect in the 2025 MLB Draft and the No. 3-ranked overall prospect. 

Only high school prospect Ethan Holliday (No. 1) and Cam Cannarella of Clemson (No. 2) are ranked higher. 

LaViolette from Katy,Texas, was one of the top recruits and was never drafted out of high school and will be eligible next season.
