In D2 baseball, there is a name that always floats around a little more than others and that is Austin Beck. Well, as of late, Beck is getting noticed in the 2026 season for all of the right reasons.
On Apr.25, the Angelo State Ram set a huge record for the NCAA when he became the first D2 player to reach 300 career runs scored.
Beck now is the sole leader of the category as he bests the former leader Craig Ringe, 297, by three runs.
Ringe was the previous leader due to his efforts while at Central Missouri from 1999-2002.
The Angelo State baseball season is far from over as the team begins it's quest in the post season. The Rams will start their LSC tournament efforts by hosting a best of three series against Texas A&M Kingsville on May 2-4.
If ASU takes the series from TAMUK, the Rams will advance to the next round of the tournament hosted by the UT Tyler Patriots.
When Is The 2026 MLB Draft?
The MLB Draft begins the Sunday of MLB All-Star Week, which is being held in Philadelphia from July 11-14.
