Division III baseball is heating up across the country, with several ranked programs and conference contenders taking the field this week on FloCollege. From early-season tests between nationally ranked teams to conference showdowns, the weekend slate offers plenty of storylines.

Here are five D3 baseball games to watch on FloCollege this week, along with the latest D3baseball.com Top 25 rankings.

Whittier vs. Chapman

March 13 | 5 PM CT

Chapman continues to be one of the most consistent contenders in the SCIAC, and the Panthers have already been tested early this season. After splitting a doubleheader with Lewis & Clark earlier this month, Chapman showed the ability to respond in tight contests and remain competitive against quality opponents.

Whittier will look to play spoiler in this conference matchup as both teams begin jockeying for early positioning in the SCIAC standings. The conference race could be one of the most competitive in the country this year, with preseason projections showing Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer tied atop the coaches' poll just ahead of La Verne.

Johnson & Wales (RI) vs. No. 20 Case Western Reserve

March 13 | 12:30 PM CT

Case Western Reserve enters the matchup looking to bounce back after falling to Mitchell at the Spartan Southern Classic. The Spartans have already faced several strong opponents early in the season and will look to regain momentum against Johnson & Wales.

For CWRU, the game represents another opportunity to sharpen its lineup and pitching rotation before the conference schedule intensifies later this spring.

Transylvania vs. No. 6 Washington University in St. Louis

March 13 | 2 PM CT

Washington University in St. Louis remains one of the top teams in Division III and currently sits inside the national top 10. The Bears recently dropped a close road game to Rose-Hulman despite a late comeback attempt.

Transylvania will try to take advantage of the opportunity against a ranked opponent, while WashU looks to reinforce its national contender status.

No. 22 Shenandoah vs. Virginia Wesleyan

March 13 | 2 PM CT

Virginia Wesleyan has built a reputation as one of the strongest programs in the ODAC region, and matchups with Shenandoah have often produced competitive games.

Shenandoah recently opened its road schedule against Washington & Lee and will look to rebound and establish consistency as conference play approaches.

Pacific (OR) vs. Linfield

March 15 | 2 PM CT

Linfield has been one of the most dangerous teams in the Northwest Conference, coming off a series victory over Willamette, capped by an 11-6 win in the finale.

Pacific will try to slow down a Wildcats team that has shown the ability to generate offense in key moments. With conference implications already looming, this matchup could help set the tone for the NWC race.
