The final weekend of the College Baseball Series begins on Feb. 26 as the opening month of the season closes with No. 1-ranked UCLA vs. No. 4-ranked Mississippi State at Globe Life Field.

That game, starting at 3:30 p.m. ET, will be one of the most anticipated matchups of the entire four-week slate that makes up the College Baseball Series.

It is just one of many showdowns at Globe Life this weekend, with four ranked teams and the two unranked teams combining for 14-2 records so far.

There were 21 programs involved in the four weekends — three in Arlington, Texas, and one in Surprise, Arizona. Putting the Baseball America and D1 Baseball rankings aside, here’s how we’re ranking the 21 teams that have played in the College Baseball Series so far.

College Baseball Series Power Rankings

Here's how we rank the teams.

1. UCLA Baseball (6-2)

We’re not going to let a Tuesday loss to San Diego State, 4-3, overshadow UCLA’s statement sweep of TCU this past weekend. The Bruins beat the Horned Frogs 10-2, 5-1 and 15-5 in Los Angeles. Sure, they have two losses, but the wins over TCU in the season’s best February weekend series show that the Bruins mean business.

2. Oklahoma Baseball (8-1)

The Sooners finally dropped a game, and it was to Arizona State, 15-3, on Tuesday. However, they followed that up with a 4-3 win on Wednesday before the Sun Devils travel to Globe Life this weekend. OU went 3-0 with wins over TCU and Arkansas at the College Baseball Showdown to start the season.

3. Mississippi State Baseball (9-0)

The Bulldogs are off to one of their best starts ever with a 9-0 record, but it’s built on wins over teams the preseason No. 4 team should have beaten. Still, through two Tuesday games and two Sunday games, Mississippi State has yet to be beaten. They’ll likely be No. 1 in every ranking on Monday if they are 12-0 after this weekend — meaning a win over No. 1 UCLA on Sunday.

4. Texas A&M Baseball (8-0)

Similar to Mississippi State, the Aggies’ first true tests of the season arrive this weekend with Virginia Tech, No. 1 UCLA and Arizona State on the slate. The uber-talented Aggies have sliced through their first eight games, including a 25-5 win over Lamar on Tuesday.

5. Auburn Baseball (7-1)

The Tigers bounced back from their first loss of the season to win three straight in Weekend 2 of the College Baseball Series. They beat a hot Kansas State team, then downed Florida State 8-5 and finished the weekend with a 10-6 win over Louisville. They didn’t play Nebraska last weekend but will this weekend at home.

6. Arizona State Baseball (8-1)

One of the blue bloods of college baseball, the Sun Devils are 8-1, with the only loss coming to Oklahoma. But they also beat No. 13 Oklahoma. By the time the weekend is over, ASU will have played five straight games against ranked opponents, including No. 4 Mississippi State.

7. Virginia Tech Baseball (7-1)

The Hokies’ first loss came to Rutgers of the Big Ten, 16-1, on Feb. 20, but they rebounded to win the series. They face No. 23 Texas A&M, No. 4 Mississippi State and No. 20 Tennessee this weekend, joining Arizona State as the only teams in all three weekends to face ranked opponents in every College Baseball Series game.

8. Vanderbilt Baseball (7-2)

The Commodores have bounced back from a 1-2 record at the College Baseball Showdown in a big way. Vanderbilt has won six games since the first weekend, but they’ll be tested this weekend against UC Irvine, Arizona and Oregon at the Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Classic.

9. Arkansas Baseball (7-2)

Arkansas swept Xavier last week but lost 12-4 to Arkansas State on Tuesday and bounced back Wednesday with a 1-0 win. A weekend series against UT Arlington is next.

10. Tennessee Baseball (6-2)

Maybe it’s because the writer of this poll is a proud Kent State graduate, or maybe we just know ball, but we wrote last week that the Vols’ series against Kent State would not be easy. The Flashes handed Tennessee two losses in Knoxville. UT rebounded with an 8-3 win Tuesday against Bellarmine. The Vols will play No. 1 UCLA at 4 p.m. ET on Friday.

11. Kansas State Baseball (6-3)

After losing 5-1 to Auburn to start Weekend 2, Kansas State bounced back to beat Nebraska and Michigan. Dee Kennedy continues to roll, homering against Michigan on Feb. 22.

12. Oklahoma State Baseball (5-3)

Another team bouncing back from a 1-2 opening weekend, the Pokes won a four-game series against Grand Canyon last week.

13. Oregon State Baseball (4-3)

The Beavers lost back-to-back games at the Round Rock Classic after beating Baylor, including surprising losses to Southern Miss and Purdue. They face another challenging slate this weekend against Houston, Alabama and Iowa.

14. Nebraska Baseball (4-3)

The Cornhuskers had a strong opening week but went 1-2 at Globe Life Field in Weekend 2. They did manage one of the bigger upsets of the weekend when they beat Florida State 10-1 on Sunday. They travel to Auburn this weekend.

15. Michigan Baseball (4-3)

The Wolverines went 1-2 at Globe Life Field, including a win over ranked Louisville. They nearly rallied to tie Kansas State in the ninth on Feb. 22 but fell 10-6.

16. Florida State Baseball (5-2)

The Seminoles beat Michigan to start Weekend 2 but didn’t win again. After taking an early lead against Auburn, they lost 8-5. A 10-1 loss Sunday to Nebraska was the low point of the weekend. They bounced back Tuesday with a 14-9 win over North Florida.

17. Texas Tech Baseball (5-3)

The Red Raiders are 5-0 since losing all three games at the College Baseball Showdown, including a 6-5 extra-inning classic to Arkansas. They swept a four-game series against UAlbany.

18. Stanford Baseball (4-4)

The Cardinal beat No. 24 Arizona to start the season and have since gone 3-4. They split a series with Cal State Fullerton last week and will play Fresno State this weekend.

19. Louisville Baseball (4-4)

A tough start to the season got more difficult last weekend with a 1-2 showing at the College Baseball Series. They did beat Nebraska, but the Cardinals are falling out of the rankings.

20. TCU Baseball (3-5)

A consensus top-10 team and the Big 12 preseason favorite, the Horned Frogs were swept in Los Angeles, losing all three games to No. 1 UCLA. After starting 2-0 with wins over Vanderbilt and Arkansas, they have gone 1-5 with two run-rule losses and a loss to UT Arlington at Globe Life Field.

21. Arizona Baseball (1-7)

The most disappointing team through two weeks in Division I baseball may be the Wildcats, who started the year in the Top 25. An 0-3 weekend in Surprise followed a 1-5 record in Weekend 2, including dropping a four-game series to UConn. They’ll face Oregon, Vanderbilt and UC Irvine this weekend in Las Vegas.
