Nebraska Bats Go Wild in Win vs. Florida State Baseball

Nebraska scored early and cruised past No. 16 Florida State 10-1 as Dylan Carey drove in five and Gavin Blachowicz earned the win in Arlington.

Nebraska Baseball scored early and often in a 10-1 victory over No. 16 Florida State (4-2) on Sunday.

The Cornhuskers plated three runs in the first inning and never trailed, adding two more in the third and pulling away with a three-run sixth and two-run seventh. Dylan Carey led the charge, going 3 for 5 with a double, home run and five RBIs.

Gavin Blachowicz earned the win, allowing one run over five innings with six strikeouts. Florida State’s lone run came on a solo home run by Myles Bailey.

Payton Manca took the loss after allowing three runs in the opening inning. The Seminoles managed just two hits and were held scoreless after the fourth as Nebraska improved to 4-3 on the season.
