Weekend 2 of the College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field features a loaded group of MLB Draft prospects from Florida State, Auburn, Kansas State and Louisville.

Florida State left-handers Trey Beard and Wes Mendes headline the mound talent, while first baseman Myles Bailey brings elite raw power. Auburn second baseman Chris Rembert and outfielder Cade Belyeu anchor the Tigers’ lineup, and Kansas State shortstop Dee Kennedy arrives after a dominant opening weekend.

Louisville center fielder Lucas Moore’s speed and outfielder Zion Rose’s power add to the showcase, giving scouts plenty to evaluate in Arlington.

Here's a breakdown of players to watch this weekend who may one day be in the show.

Florida State Baseball Prospects At College Baseball Series

Here are the players to watch.

Trey Beard, LHP, Florida State Baseball

Trey Beard, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound left-hander, transferred to Florida State after a dominant 2025 season at Florida Atlantic. He posted a 3.14 ERA in 86 innings with 118 strikeouts and a 34.4% strikeout rate.

Beard throws from an over-the-top slot with a deceptive release, featuring a low-90s fastball, a plus mid-70s changeup and two distinct breaking balls that generate swing-and-miss.

Myles Bailey, 1B, Florida State Baseball

Myles Bailey, a 6-foot-4, 235-pound first baseman at Florida State, brings some of the biggest raw power in the 2026 class. A 20th-round pick of the White Sox in 2024, Bailey launched 19 home runs as a freshman and posted elite exit velocities.

His steep, power-driven swing produces tape-measure shots but also led to a 31% strikeout rate. He profiles as a bat-first prospect at first base.

Wes Mendes, LHP, Florida State Baseball

Wes Mendes, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound left-hander, transferred to Florida State after beginning his career at Ole Miss. Now a full-time starter, he owns a 5.91 ERA over 109 2/3 innings with a 26.9% strikeout rate.

Mendes features a low-90s fastball that plays up in the zone, a gyro slider and a high-70s changeup that flashes plus and generates strong swing-and-miss rates.

Hunter Carns, C, Florida State Baseball

Hunter Carns, a 6-foot, 195-pound catcher at Florida State, is a draft-eligible sophomore and former 20th-round pick of the Diamondbacks. He hit .286/.379/.481 as a freshman in 2025 and followed with a strong showing in the Cape Cod League.

Carns offers notable bat speed and pull-side power, though his contact against secondary pitches needs refinement. He has drawn positive reviews for his defensive development behind the plate.

Brayden Dowd, OF, Florida State Baseball

Brayden Dowd, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound outfielder, transferred to Florida State after two productive seasons at Southern California. A left-handed hitter, he batted .324/.429/.476 with strong plate discipline and immediate impact as a freshman.

Dowd shows pull-side pop against fastballs and has experience in both center and right field entering the 2026 season.

Auburn Baseball Prospects At College Baseball Series

Here are the players to watch.

Chris Rembert, 2B, Auburn Baseball

Chris Rembert, a 6-foot, 202-pound second baseman at Auburn, delivered one of the program’s top freshman seasons in recent years. He hit .344/.467/.555 with 10 home runs and 14 doubles, posting a 14.2% walk rate and 13.8% strikeout rate.

His .376 average in SEC play ranked third in the conference. Rembert later earned Team USA’s starting second base job and leadoff spot, showcasing his strength and pull-side power.

Cade Belyeu, OF, Auburn Baseball

Cade Belyeu, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound outfielder at Auburn, brings an imposing frame and notable raw power. Over two seasons, he has hit .281/.440/.525 while spending time at all three outfield spots, primarily in center field in 2025.

Belyeu trimmed his strikeout rate from 26.2% as a freshman to 18.8% as a sophomore, though his slugging dipped with just 10 extra-base hits in 170 plate appearances last season

Chris Guevara, 3B, Auburn Baseball

Eric Guevara, a Panama-born infielder, emerged as a key bat for Auburn in 2025 after a modest freshman season. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound right-hander hit .331/.388/.556 with five home runs and 11 doubles.

Guevara shows strong bat-to-ball skills and a feel for the barrel, particularly against fastballs, though he walked just 7.8% of the time. Primarily a third baseman, he could also fit at second base at the next level.

Brandon McCraine, SS/OF, Auburn Baseball

Brandon McCraine, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound draft-eligible redshirt freshman, did not appear in a game for Auburn in 2025 but has generated interest from scouts. An athletic defender capable of playing shortstop and multiple positions, he offers versatility across the field.

McCraine impressed in the Perfect Game Collegiate League, hitting .304/.455/.446 with more walks than strikeouts and 15 stolen bases.

Griffin Graves, LHP, Auburn Baseball

Griffin Graves, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound left-hander, provides swing-and-miss stuff out of Auburn’s bullpen. Over two seasons, he has posted a 5.65 ERA with a 27.4% strikeout rate. Graves leans heavily on a 93-97 mph fastball with strong riding life, throwing it roughly 70% of the time in 2025.

He complements it with a low-80s slider, while also mixing in a changeup and curveball.

Kansas State MLB Draft Prospects

The Wildcats are led by two players getting interest, Donte Lewis, who is eligible for the 2027 draft Dee Kennedy, eligible this year.

Donte Lewis, OF/RHP, Kansas State Baseball

Donte Lewis, a 6-foot-1, 183-pound two-way standout at Kansas State, impacts the game both at the plate and on the mound. He hit .299/.378/.448 with 15 stolen bases and seven extra-base hits, while posting a 4.63 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 11 2/3 innings. Lewis profiles as a center fielder with speed and a plus arm, and his fastball has touched 97 mph to complement a swing-and-miss slider.

Dee Kennedy, SS, Kansas State

Kennedy vaulted into the national spotlight with a dominant opening weekend at the MLB Desert Invitational.

The junior shortstop went 7-for-13 with three home runs — including two grand slams — two doubles, 13 RBIs and four stolen bases. He scored nine runs and drew three walks against one strikeout, delivering one of the most impactful early-season performances in the country.

Louisville Baseball Prospects At College Baseball Series

Here are the players to watch.

Zion Rose, OF, Louisville Baseball

Zion Rose, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound outfielder at Louisville, began his career as a catcher at IMG Academy before shifting primarily to the outfield. A physical right-handed hitter, Rose combines quick hands and strong bat-to-ball skills with pull-side power.

Over two seasons, he has hit .337/.419/.565 with 18 home runs and 25 doubles. He profiles as a corner outfielder, though some clubs could explore a return behind the plate.

Lucas Moore, OF, Louisville Baseball

Lucas Moore, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound center fielder at Louisville, brings elite speed and advanced contact skills. Over two seasons, he has hit .335/.431/.444 with 16 doubles and 70 stolen bases, including a Division I-best 53 steals in 54 attempts in 2025.

A 70-grade runner, Moore creates constant pressure on the bases and profiles as a true center fielder with Team USA experience.

2027 MLB Draft Prospects For Louisville Baseball

Tague Davis, 1B, Louisville Baseball

Tague Davis, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound first baseman at Louisville, emerged as a middle-of-the-order force in 2025. He's not eligible for the 2026 draft, but is consider a top 30 college prospect in next year's draft.

He hit .283/.390/.571 with nine doubles, a team-best 18 home runs and 52 RBIs. Davis boasts plus raw power, particularly to the pull side, with multiple exit velocities topping 115 mph. While there are swing-and-miss concerns, he profiles as a power-first bat capable of changing games with one swing.
