TCU moved to No. 7 at D1 Baseball.
The Sooners were unranked in the D1Baseball preseason poll but were No. 19 at Baseball America. Their impressive opening weekend, which featured a run-rule win over TCU, a 9-run win over Oklahoma State and a 10-3 victory over Texas Tech, led them to the College Baseball Showdown trophy.

College Baseball Run Rule Explained
NCAA baseball generally tries to play full nine-inning games, but a run rule is sometimes used, most often in non-conference games, showcases, tournaments, the final game of a series, and doubleheaders.
When it’s in effect, a game can end in the seventh inning if one team leads by 10 or more runs. In seven-inning scheduled games, the run rule applies in the fifth, and it’s generally not used in regular-season conference play since conferences set their own rules.
