TCU Baseball Schedule 2026: Dates, Times And More
TCU is back on FloCollege to help kick off the 2026 college baseball season. Watch the Horned Frogs at the Shriners Children’s College Baseball Showdown.

The Texas Christian University baseball team was on the hunt for redemption last season after going from the verge of playing for a national championship to missing the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship completely.
Based on that, the 2025 campaign was a successful one, though it ended sooner than the Horned Frogs would’ve liked with a quick exit from the regional round of the NCAA Championship.
The team now has a clean slate and an opportunity to continue the upward trajectory, and the first three games of TCU’s 2026 season will be broadcast live on FloCollege and the FloSports app as part of the 2026 College Baseball Series in Arlington, Texas.

The College Baseball Series again will be held at Globe Life Field, home of the 2023 World Series-winning Texas Rangers, and the three weekends of action from Feb. 13 through March 1 will include 18 teams.
TCU, 39-20 overall last season, will be one of the six programs in town for the season-opening Shriners Children’s College Showdown from Feb. 13-15 and will be joined by Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt.
TCU enters the new season ranked 10th in the 2026 D1Baseball Preseason Top 25 Rankings.
This year marks the fourth time overall the Horned Frogs will make the short trip across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to compete in the event, and it will be the third time they’ll open their season at Globe Life Field (2021, 2023).
This is the sixth consecutive year GLF will host some of the top collegiate teams in the nation to kick off the season, and it’ll be the third straight year the action will span three weekends.
TCU will get one additional opportunity to experience the grandeur of Globe Life Field, while also battling for local bragging rights.
The Horned Frogs and the University of Texas at Arlington will face off for one game Feb. 17, before TCU heads off to California to spend a weekend at UCLA.
Big 12 play for TCU begins on the road March 13 against Arizona State. The Horned Frogs were 19-11 in conference games last year, finished third in the 14-team standings and fell to Arizona in the final game of the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship.
TCU’s season ended a week later after consecutive losses in the regional round of the Division I Baseball Championship.

What Happened In The Big 12 During The 2025 Collegiate Baseball Season?
Following the 2024 collegiate baseball season, Big 12 regular-season champion Oklahoma and third-place Texas departed the Big 12 for the stacked Southeastern Conference.
Among the remaining teams was Oklahoma State, the runner-up during the 2024 regular season and the winner of the Big 12 Championship.
The changes in the conference didn’t simply end with losing two powerhouse teams, however.
Instead, the new look of the conference included the addition of Arizona, Arizona State and Utah from the decimated Pac-12.
The Big 12 also debut a new format for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship in 2025, which featured the top 12 teams from the regular-season standings. Those teams advanced to the conference tournament at Globe Life Field in May.
The top four seeds earned byes, and seeds No. 5-12 kicked off the single-elimination competition.
West Virginia won its first outright Big 12 regular-season title in 2025 with a 19-9 record and .679 winning percentage, just ahead of Kansas (20-10, .667) and TCU (19-11, .633).
In the conference tournament, No. 1 West Virginia and No. 4 Arizona faced off in one semifinal, while No. 2 Kansas and No. 3 TCU met in the other. Arizona then topped TCU for the title, winning 2-1 in 10 innings.
Arizona earned the Big 12’s automatic bid to the Division I Baseball Championships, and the Wildcats were joined in the tournament by Arizona State, Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU and West Virginia.

About TCU Baseball
Last season, TCU battled Big 12 newcomer Arizona in a nailbiter of title tilt at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship, but the Wildcats prevailed 2-1 in 10 innings.
Despite the runner-up finish at the conference tournament, the Horned Frogs had done enough to earn a return trip to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship after a one-year absence.
The opportunity marked their 20th appearance in the national tournament, with the first coming in 1956, the second happening in 1994 and the next 17 coming from 2004-2023.
TCU was one of a record-tying eight Big 12 teams that earned bids in 2025, and the Horned Frogs jetted off to Corvallis, Oregon, for regional play.
Unfortunately, they made a quick exit, losing consecutive games in the double-elimination format. They fell to USC in their opening game, 13-1, and then were bounced from the tournament by host Oregon State, 7-2.
There’s no doubt TCU wanted more from the opportunity, but was the team’s 39-20 record and return to postseason play a sign that things are back on track for the Horned Frogs?
A season after just missing a chance to play for a national title, TCU failed to make the 2024 Division I Baseball Championship.
TCU made the Men’s College World Series in 2023 but fell just shy of getting to play for the title. The Horned Frogs lost to the Florida Gators with a trip to the final on the line. Florida went on to lose to LSU in the best-of-three championship showdown, 2-1.
The Horned Frogs needed to defeat Florida twice to earn the chance to play for a national championship but lost in their first clash, 3-2. The contest that was tied 2-2 heading into the top of the ninth inning.
It was TCU’s sixth trip to the College World Series (2010, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2023), and the team is 13-12 all-time at the Men’s College World Series.
At the end of April that season, TCU was 23-20 and went on an insane run to make the CWS and finish the campaign at 44-24. The 68 games tied a program record for games played in a single TCU season.
Since joining the Big 12 for the 2013 season, the conference-hopping Horned Frogs have claimed four Big 12 regular-season titles (2015, 2017, 2021, 2022) and four wins in the conference tournament (2014, 2016, 2017, 2022).
Previously, they won 16 regular-season titles across the Southwest Conference, Conference USA and the Mountain West Conference. Their success also included six conference tournament victories between CUSA and the MWC from 2004-2010.
In 2024, TCU was 33-21 overall and 14-16 in the Big 12, finishing in the bottom half of the standings. The season ended with a loss to Kansas in the Big 12 Championship.
How Long Is The NCAA Division I Baseball Season?
The teams in the Big 12 Conference play 30 conference games, but that’s only a little more than half of the schedule.
Teams are able to begin their official practices during the final week of January, while mid-February traditionally marks the start of formal competition for Division I baseball teams.
From start to finish, the Division I baseball season means 132 days together for the players and coaches, and teams may play in more than 50 games (56 is the maximum number of contests before the postseason).
By the time they won the Division I national championship in 2025, the LSU Tigers (of the SEC) had played 68 games, compiling a 53-15 record.
