Well, you wouldn't believe it, but the first pitch of the 2026 NCAA D1 baseball season is just one month away.

With first pitch set for Feb. 13 in the 2026 Shriner's Children's College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the top talent will take the field for three weekends on D1 action.

While there is still time until fans get to judge the on-field action, the NCAA has officially announced the preseason Top-25 rankings and these rankings are a sight to see.

Based on the rankings from D1Baseball.com, the defending national champion LSU Tigers do not sit in the top position in the first set of rankings.

Instead of the Tigers, the UCLA Bruins top the preseason Top-25 for the first time in 12 year history of these rankings.

The Bruins will be a force in the 2026 season with the help of No.1 prospect Roch Cholowsky. With a 2025 season record of 48-18, UCLA ended last season's rankings at No.5. The Bruins will kick off the 2026 season on Feb. 13 by taking on UC San Diego

The Tigers clock in at No. 2 after claiming the title in Omaha, Neb. at the end of the 2025 season. With a 53-15 record that set them in the No.1 spot in the final 2025 rankings, LSU will look to go back-to-back in the 2026 season. LSU will open its season against Milwaukee on Feb. 13.

So with a look at the top-two in these 2026 rankings, here is a look at how the rest of the Top-25 shakeup in the preseason rankings by D1Baseball.
