Dylan Rock Going For 9 Straight Games With Home Run. Watch Him Go For It
Dylan Rock tries surpass join Ken Griffey Jr., Don Mattingly and Dale Long for professional baseball's consecutive games with a home streak
Lexington Legends outfielder Dylan Rock will attempt to make professional baseball history Friday night when he takes the field against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in an Atlantic League of Professional Baseball game at Regency Furniture Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. ET.
Rock, who played college baseball at Texas A&M, has homered in eight consecutive games, matching a feat accomplished only three times in Major League Baseball history and once in the minor leagues. The Texas A&M product began his streak June 18 in Gastonia, North Carolina, and has since gone deep in every Legends game through June 26 — including back-to-back home series against the High Point Rockers and Charleston Dirty Birds.
All Atlantic League games stream live this summer on FloBaseball and the FloSports app.
In his first season with Lexington, Rock is batting .267 with 13 home runs and 31 RBIs over 51 games. He was selected in the eighth round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Legends enter Friday’s matchup with a 28-26 record, sitting third in the Atlantic League’s South Division.
