The 2025 NCAA Baseball season is complete, after LSU defeated Coastal Carolina in the Men’s College World Series finals to take the national title back to Baton Rouge, meaning the 2025 MLB draft is right around the corner.

Several draft-eligible players made a name for themselves in Omaha, proving to scouts that they are ready to play at the next level. Several of the top prospects are high school seniors, but their talent is unmatched.

See who FloSports predicts will be the top picks in the 2025 MLB Draft, following the Men’s College World Series.

MLB Mock Draft First Round Picks

Here's the first round predictions.

1. Washington Nationals - Ethan Holliday - SS/3B - Stillwater HS

Holliday, the son of MLB legend Matt and younger brother of Orioles star Jackson, is almost set in stone as the No. 1 overall pick and he has the name, the athleticism and the statistics to back it up. Though a high school senior, Holliday has everything the Nationals want.

They’ve been known to take a skill player over a pitcher in the first round, and Holliday is no exception to that, though it is likely he will be shifting from shortstop to third base. A powerful hitter, he has the potential to be a key contributor to the Nationals offense, even if his MLB debut is years away.

2. Los Angeles Angels - Kade Anderson - LHP - LSU

Fresh off his second national title at LSU, Kade Anderson was incredibly dominant in Omaha and threw more innings than anyone else in Division I this spring. In Omaha, he struck out seven batters in an outing against Arkansas and then in the finals proceeded to throw a complete game shutout in game one against Coastal Carolina. He posted a 3.18 ERA and led the nation in strikeouts with 180.

Any team wants a player like Anderson, as he is likely to move through the minors quickly, similarly to fellow former LSU Tiger Paul Skenes. If Holliday isn’t picked first, Anderson is likely to be taken by the Nationals in the top spot.

3. Seattle Mariners - Aiva Arquette - SS - Oregon State

Arquette was the most dominant hitter in college baseball, leading the Beavers to Omaha where they had an early exit. Arquette is a strong hitter, hitting .345 with 17 doubles, 19 home runs for 66 RBI in 65 games. His upside for the Mariners is his fielding potential, as he has one of the best arms in college baseball.

If drafted by the Mariners, he is likely to make the shift from shortstop to third base.

4. Colorado Rockies - Liam Doyle - LHP - Tennessee

The Rockies need all of the help they can get, as they are currently chasing the White Sox record for most losses in a season, and adding Doyle as a pitcher could help them work back towards a winning record. Doyle dominated from the mound at Tennessee, with his 96-99mph fastball and a 10-4 record with a 3.20 ERA, 164 strikeouts in 95.2 innings, he developed into one of the top pitchers in college baseball.

Though he was not part of Tennessee’s championship run in 2024, he heavily benefitted from Tony Vitello’s program, improving his velocity and control after transferring from Ole Miss. If he continues to improve and control his pitches, he has the potential to move through the minors quickly.

5. St. Louis Cardinals - Eli Willits - SS - Fort Cobb-Broxton HS

Another top high school prospect, Willits is arguably the most complete player in the draft. He has speed, and is likely to stay at shortstop as he works his way through the minors and is a well-rounded hitter. After reclassifying, the son of Reggie, a former Angels outfielder, Eli is young, but a solid hitter and is confident in his swing, which makes lots of contact.

While he could gain more power, that will come as he gets older and fills out his frame, as he is 6-foot-1, 165lbs. While every team wants the chance to draft Holliday, Willits is likely to be the next high school prospect taken in the draft.

6. Pittsburgh Pirates - Jamie Arnold - LHP- Florida State

The Pirates are looking for some strong pitching to back up Skenes, and Arnold dominated at Florida State. His fastball tops out around 97-98, but in 2024 he threw the third-most strikeouts in Division I.

He has a unique arm angle, but it allows him to hit both high and low velocities and he could be a mid-rotation player or reliever. In 2025, he finished with an 8-2 record, a 119-27 strikeouts to walks ratio and a 2.98 ERA.

7. Miami Marlins - JoJo Parker - SS - Purvis HS

With the Marlins looking to add defensive talent, Miami is the heavy favorite to draft a high school player in this draft. Parker checks all of Miami’s boxes, he’s a strong hitter who doesn't whiff much and has a strong arm at the hot corner.

8. Toronto Blue Jays - Gage Woord - RHP - Arkansas

Though Wood missed a few months during the 2025 season he came back and flashed his best stuff when it mattered most. He threw a 19-strikeout no-hitter in Omaha against Murray State and was one hit batter away from a perfect game, making history at the College World Series. His fastball averages 96mph and can reach up to 98, something analysts love and his velocity is consistent late into games.

Though he struggled with injuries during the regular season, which could be a concern, he showed that when healthy, he can be developed into a great pitcher.

9. Cincinnati Reds -  Ike Irish - C/OF - Auburn

Irish was one of the most powerful hitters in college baseball in 2025, dominating the SEC leaderboards. He not only has the hitting talent, but is a skilled catcher who saw time in the outfield due to injury, and could be a hot commodity if he fully commits to being behind the plate.

He batted .364 for Auburn and before his injury, a fractured scapula (shoulder blade), he threw down six of eight would-be base stealers.

10. Chicago White Sox - Billy Carlson - SS - Corona HS

Carlson is likely to be the next high school player taken off the board, as he has a high potential as the No. 2 overall high school shortstop. Though he struggled in his senior season, the White Sox have shown that they are willing to develop players like Carlson and he could be taken with the 10th overall pick.

11. Athletics - Brendan Summerhill - CF - Arizona

12. Texas Rangers - Marek Houston - SS - Wake Forest

13. San Francisco Giants - Kyson Witherspoon - RHP - Oklahoma

14. Tampa Bay Rays - Tyler Bremner - RHP - UC Santa Barbara

15. Boston Red Sox - Steele Hall - SS - Trussville HS

16. Minnesota Twins - Wehiwa Aloy - SS - Arkansas

17. Chicago Cubs - Gavin Kilen - 2B - Tennessee

18. Arizona Diamondbacks - Gavin Fien - SS/3B - Great Oak HS

19. Baltimore Orioles - Jace LaViolette - OF - Texas A&M

20. Milwaukee Brewers - Kayson Cunningham - SS - Johnson HS (San Antonio)

21. Houston Astros - Zach Root - LHP - Arkansas

22. Atlanta Braves - Riley Quick - RHP - Alabama

23. Kansas City Royals - Josh Hammond - 3B - Wesleyan Christian HS

24. Detroit Tigers - Andrew Fischer - 1B/3B - Tennessee

25. San Diego Padres - Slater de Brun - OF - Summit HS

26. Philadelphia Phillies - Caden Bodine - C - Coastal Carolina

27. Cleveland Guardians - Cam Cannarella - OF - Clemson
