How To Watch Ole Miss Vs. Texas At 2025 College Baseball Showdown
Here’s how to watch Ole Miss vs. Texas on Day 2 of the 2025 Shriners Children’s College Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Among the many conference shake-ups for the 2024-2025 school year was Texas and Oklahoma moving from the Big 12 to the Southeastern Conference.
It may not have the same impact in baseball as it did in football and softball, but it does leave the opportunity for new rivalries to grow.
Though Texas and Ole Miss aren’t scheduled to meet during formal SEC play this year, the Longhorns and Rebels will be able to get a feel for each other during the 2025 Shriners Children’s College Showdown.
They’ll meet Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. Eastern as the nightcap of Day 2 of the three-day event.
The Shriners Children’s College Showdown again is being held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, home of the world champion Texas Rangers, as part of three exciting weekends of college baseball in Texas.

The schedule includes the Shriners Children’s College Showdown (Feb. 14-16), Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota Weekend 2 (Feb. 21-23) and Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota Weekend 3 (Feb. 28-March 2).
There also will be midweek games on Feb. 18, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5.
The SEC already was a tough conference, and the Ole Miss baseball team got the brunt of that last season.
The Rebels were 11-19 in conference play on the way to a 27-29 overall record. They finished second-to-last in the seven-team SEC West and were ousted from the SEC Tournament with a first-round loss to Mississippi State.
Again, the SEC is a tough place to play.
The No. 1 team in the 2025 D1Baseball Preseason Top 25 Rankings is last year’s national runner-up, Texas A&M – of the SEC. Fellow SEC standout LSU is No. 3. Reigning national champion Tennessee is No. 4. Arkansas is No. 5. Georgia is No. 9. Florida is No. 10.
That’s right, that’s six SEC teams in the top 10.
Newcomer Texas landed at No. 19 on the recent poll, even after a disappointing 2024 campaign.
The Longhorns were 36-24 overall and 20-10 in the Big 12, finishing third in the regular-season standings. Two quick losses in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship saw the dream of a final Big 12 conference title go away, while a win and two losses saw the season come to a close at the NCAA College Station Regional.

Where Is The 2025 College Baseball Showdown?
The Shriners Children’s College Showdown and two-weekend Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, and feature some of the top teams in the nation.
The 2025 season will mark the fifth consecutive year of college baseball at Globe Life Field – home of the world champion Texas Rangers – and the second straight year the action will span three weekends.
When Is The College Baseball Showdown?
The first weekend of the festivities, the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, will begin on Friday, Feb. 14 and will run through Feb. 16.
The following two weeks of action, the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, will take place Feb. 21-23 and Feb. 28-March 2.
To keep the momentum going between the weekends, the series also will include four midweek games at Globe Life Field. Those contests will take place Feb. 18, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5.
