Peyton Prussin made history on January 26, 2023, by becoming the first female wrestler and the first NAIA athlete to be included in World Wrestling Entertainment’s Next In Line program.

Now, it’s official. Prussin is on a path to becoming a WWE Superstar. Her ring name, Kendal Grey, will replace Peyton Prussin (at least on social media) as she trains with the NXT brand out of Orlando, Florida.

The Las Vegas native was recently featured alongside 2020 Olympic champion Tamyra Mensah-Stock during an NXT spot on USA Network.

Prussin was a three-time NAIA champion for Life University (2021-23) and a 2023 finalist for USA Wrestling’s Women’s Wrestler of the Year Award. Her professional wrestling opportunity came through her engaging personality and explosive on-the-mat style.

WWE Superstar Jacob Kasper, a two-time All-American for Duke who wrestles professionally as Julius Creed, spoke highly of Prussin during a FloWrestling story on Prussin that ran on September 22, 2022. 

“The sky is the limit for her,” Kasper said. “That’s all props to her for how she carries herself and the way she works and the things she’s earned for herself over her life.

“She’s clearly a hard worker. She’s clearly a smart girl. She can clearly figure stuff out. She can clearly deal with the physicality and what this job entails. The only thing I hadn’t seen her do was cut a promo or give an interview but I feel with hard work you figure just about anything out.”
