After a strong stretch in the Pioneer League, Landen Barns is headed back to the Frontier League. 

Barns, who was hitting .317 and drove in 10 runs for the Ogden Raptors, was traded to the Frontier League's Tri-City ValleyCats in one of the noteworthy independent-league roster moves from July's first week. Barns returns to the Frontier League where, in 15 games with the Washington Wild Things last season, driving in seven runs over that time. 

Another Frontier League trade saw the New Jersey Jackals acquire shortstop Manuel Geraldo from the Atlantic League's Lexington Counter Clocks. Geraldo hit .270 and had 10 stolen bases thus far for Lexington. 

Joining the Jackals marks his first stint in the Frontier League.
