WEEKLY HONORS

PLAYER OF THE WEEK 

Keishana Washington, Drexel

Graduate | Guard | Pickering, Ontario, Canada / Durham Prep 

Washington scored over 30 points in back-to-back games, averaging 36.5 points per game for Drexel over the weekend. 

On Sunday, the graduate guard dropped 40 points for the third time this season and added four rebounds, three assists and one steal in a 67-55 win over Delaware. 

With the performance, Washington is the only NCAA Women’s Basketball player with three 40-point efforts this winter. 

On Friday, Washington scored a game-high 33 points and added two steals in a 71-64 setback against Northeastern. 

Washington has 11 scoring outputs of 30 or more points this season, including four in her past five games, and is averaging 32.5 points per game in February.  

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 

Alexis Andrews, Charleston

Freshman | Guard | Montgomery, Alabama / Park Crossing 

Andrews reached double figures in both games this weekend, contributing 13.5 points per game for Charleston. 

In the weekend finale, Andrews scored 17 points and added five rebounds and two steals to help the Cougars win 60-58 over Elon. 

On Friday, the freshman guard added 10 points, one rebound and one assist in a setback against Stony Brook. 

Andrews has scored at least 10 points in three of the past four games, and it marks the second time she has done it in back-to-back games this season. 

She has nine double-figure performances this year. 

CONFERENCE NOTES

TIGHT RACE DOWN THE HOME STRETCH: It's anyone's race in CAA Women's Basketball, with the top 6 teams separated by 1.5 games with two weeks to play. 

Drexel split a pair of games over the weekend but remained in sole possession of first place at 11-4. Stony Brook went 2-0, and North Carolina A&T won its lone game this weekend, moving into a two-way tie for second at 10-4. 

Following the weekend's results, there is a three-way tie for fourth place, as Northeastern, Towson and William & Mary have 9-5 records.

WASHINGTON ADDED TO DAWN STALEY AWARD LATE SEASON WATCH LIST: Drexel guard Keishana Washington was named to the Dawn Staley Award Late Season Watch List by the Phoenix Club of Philadelphia on Monday. 

The Dawn Staley Award was established in 2013 to honor the nation’s best guard in Women’s Division I college basketball. 

The award is given annually to a player who exemplifies the skills that Dawn possessed throughout her career - ball handling, scoring, her ability to distribute the basketball and her will to win.

CAA IN THE COLLEGE INSIDER MID-MAJOR TOP 25: Two CAA teams were recognized in the latest edition of the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll. 

Drexel remained ranked, coming in at No. 19, and Stony Brook received votes. 

Drexel has been ranked every week this season, and Stony Brook has received votes in 14-of-15 weeks. 

At least two conference teams have been recognized in the poll each week this season.  

NOTHING BUT NET: Five CAA teams were ranked inside the top 200 in the latest NCAA NET rankings. 

Drexel continued to lead the way, ranking 119th, followed by Northeastern at 149. Towson was 161, just ahead of Stony Brook at 164 and Delaware at 170.

TEAM NOTES

Charleston 

• Charleston split a pair of competitive contests over the weekend, falling to Stony Brook 82-75 on Friday, before a 60-58 road win over Elon on Sunday. 

• Jada Logan led Charleston with 25 points, 6.5 rebounds, four assists and two steals per game. She reached the 20-point threshold in both contests, scoring 27 on Friday and 23 on Sunday. 

Logan has reached double figures in 22 games this season, including 12 of the past 13. 

In addition, six of her 11 games with over 20 points have come in CAA play.

 • Alexis Andrews was the other Cougars player to reach double figures in both games, averaging 13.5 points per contest. 

The freshman guard added 17 points and five rebounds in the victory, after scoring 10 on Friday. 

She has reached double figures in three of the past four games and nine times this season.

• Anika McGarity and Adaora Onwumelu also added double-figure performances over the weekend. 

On Friday, McGarity tallied 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting from 3-point range, while Onwumelu contributed 10 points and six rebounds on Sunday. 

McGarity has scored 10 or more points 14 times this season, and it was the fifth double-digit effort for Onwumelu. 

Delaware 

• Delaware defeated Hofstra 65-54 on Friday night, before a 67-55 setback against Drexel on Sunday, as the Blue Hens posted a 1-1 record over the weekend. 

• Tara Cousins was the lone Blue Hens player to reach double figures in both games, scoring 11.5 points per game with six rebounds per contest. 

In the victory, Cousins tallied 10 points and seven rebounds, following the effort with a team-high 13 points and five rebounds on Sunday. 

It marks the fifth consecutive game with 10 or more for Cousins and the 12th time for her this year.

• Klarke Sconiers added 13.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for Delaware off the bench. 

The senior center led the Blue Hens with 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting in the victory, adding seven rebounds, four blocks and two steals. It marked her 15th game in double figures this season.

• Makayla Pippin contributed 10 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Blue Hens. 

She reached double figures for the 13th time this season, dropping 12 against Hofstra, while adding seven rebounds in the effort.

Drexel 

• Drexel went 1-1 over the weekend, falling to Northeastern 71-64 on Friday, before bouncing back with a 67-55 victory over Delaware on Sunday. 

• Keishana Washington averaged 36.5 points per game, dropping 40 in the victory after a game-high 33 against Northeastern. 

With her effort Sunday, the graduate guard became the first player in the NCAA with three 40-point performances.

Washington is averaging 32.5 ppg in February after scoring over 30 in four of her last five. 

Washington has reached double figures in 60 straight games and ranks third in the NCAA with 27.2 points per game.

• Maura Hendrixson tallied 13 assists over the weekend and set the Drexel single-season program record (191) for assists on Sunday. 

The graduate has at least five assists in six straight games and ranks third in the NCAA with 7.7 assists per game. 

In addition, Hendrixson has a league-best six double-digit assist efforts this winter. 

• On Friday, Kylie Lavelle added 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting in just 17 minutes of action. 

All of her points came in the second half, with 11 in the third quarter. 

The freshman forward has reached double figures in eight games this season. 

Elon 

• Elon split a pair of games over the weekend, defeating Monmouth 57-48 on Friday, before narrowly dropping a 60-58 decision against Charleston on Sunday.

• Evonna McGill averaged 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game to lead the Phoenix. 

McGill matched a season-high with 17 points and added a career-best 12 rebounds on her senior day, despite the setback. It marked her first double-double this season. 

The graduate center has reached double figures 13 times this season, including in back-to-back performances this weekend.  

• Lenaejha Evans reached double figures in both games, averaging 14 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. 

She scored a team-high 17 points in Elon's victory, which marks five straight games in double figures for the graduate student, who is tied for the team lead with 17 double-digit scoring outputs this season.

• Raven Preston continued her impressive freshman campaign by adding 13.5 points and seven rebounds per contest. 

She reached double figures in both games, with 11 and 16, respectively. 

Preston has 10 or more points in 17 games this season and 12 times in CAA play. 

Hampton 

• Hampton went 2-0 this weekend, defeating UNCW 63-53 on Friday and Towson 72-61 on Sunday. It is the first time the Lady Pirates have won back-to-back CAA games this season.

• Nylah Young led Hampton averaging 19.5 points and five rebounds per game. 

On Friday, she scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed a team-best nine rebounds. 

Young followed the effort with a team-high 19 points against Towson. 

Friday was her seventh game with at least 20 points this season, while Young has reached double figures in 16 games this season, including eight straight.  

• On Sunday, Laren VanArsdale recorded a season-high 19 points with three rebounds, three assists, three blocks and a steal against Towson. It was the third double-digit scoring output in ten games for VanArsdale this season. 

Additionally, it marked her highest point total since Feb. 18, 2020. 

• On Friday, Dlayla Chakolis tallied a career-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor. 

The redshirt junior forward also added six rebounds and one steal. 

Chakolis recorded her previous career-high of 13 against UNCW earlier this season. It marks her third game in double figures this season. 

Hofstra 

• Hofstra dropped back-to-back games over the weekend, falling to Delaware 65-54 on Friday night, before a 59-51 setback against Northeastern on Sunday. 

• Sorelle Ineza reached double figures in both games for the Pride, averaging 14.5 points per contest. 

She led the team in scoring on both outings, recording 17 points versus Delaware and 12 against Northeastern. 

Ineza added four rebounds on Friday and six Sunday. 

The senior guard has at least 10 points in seven straight games and 14 total this season.

• On Friday, Rosi Nicholson also reached double figures for the Pride, scoring 11 points. 

Nicholson was 4-for-7 from the field, with four rebounds and three steals.

The senior guard has nine games  this season with at least 10 points. 

Additionally, she has recorded three or more steals on eight occasions. 

• On Sunday, Zyheima Swint recorded her seventh game in double figures this season. Swint contributed 11 points and six rebounds. 

She has reached double figures in two of the past three games and has at least five rebounds in eight of the past nine.

Monmouth 

• Monmouth went 0-2 in a pair of road games this weekend, falling to North Carolina A&T 65-62 on Sunday, after a 57-48 setback against Elon on Friday. 

• Kaci Donovan averaged 10.5 points per game over the weekend. 

She had a team-high 15 points against N.C. A&T and added three rebounds with three assists in the effort. It was the third time in the last four games and the ninth time this season she has reached double figures. 

• On Sunday, Lovin Marsicano matched her season-high with 11 points. She went 4-of-8 from the field, including 3-for-7 from behind the arc with two rebounds, two steals, one block and one assist. It was her second game this season with 10 or more points.  

• On Friday, Bri Tinsley was the lone Hawk to reach double figures, scoring a team-high 11 points. She also matched a team-high with three steals and added two rebounds with one assist. 

It was the 14th time this season she has reached double figures and the third time in the past four games. 

Tinsley averaged 10 ppg for the weekend.

North Carolina A&T

• North Carolina A&T got back into the win column with a 65-62 win over Monmouth on Sunday. 

The Aggies held the Hawks to 14.3% shooting in the fourth, outscoring Monmouth 11-6 in the frame, including a 6-0 run over the final 1:50. 

• Jazmin Harris scored a game-high 16 points to lead A&T, including the go-ahead bucket with 17 seconds remaining. Harris also grabbed three rebounds and had one block in the effort. 

The graduate center has reached double figures in 19 games this season.

• Laila Acox recorded a career-high 15 points and matched a season-high with eight rebounds in the victory. Acox went 5-of-6 from the floor and is shooting 81.8% (9-11) in the past two games. 

It was her second double-digit scoring output this winter, with both coming in CAA play. 

• Maleia Bracone added 13 points, six assists, five rebounds and four steals in an all-around effort. 

The junior guard has 19 games with 10 or more this season, including six of the past seven. 

Additionally, she has at least three steals in six straight games, ranking second in the CAA in steals per game (2.5). 

UNCW 

• UNCW fell in back-to-back games over the weekend, dropping a decision against Hampton (63-53) on Friday and falling to Stony Brook (64-46) on Sunday.

• Carrie Gross averaged 14.5 points per game for the Seahawks. 

The graduate guard scored 20 points against Stony Brook, recording her sixth 20-point effort this season. 


She almost tallied a double-double against Hampton, adding nine points and nine rebounds. 

Gross has reached double figures in 18 games this season and seven of her past eight. 

• On Friday, McCall King recorded her first career double-digit scoring effort to lead UNCW. 

The freshman guard tallied a career-best 12 points with three rebounds in just her second career start. 

• Against Hampton, Evan Miller reached double figures for the third straight contest, adding 10 points. 

Miller also matched her career-high with three steals and grabbed three rebounds in the effort. 

The junior guard has four double-digit scoring performances this season. 

Northeastern 

• Northeastern extended its winning streak to four games following wins over Drexel (71-64) and Hofstra (59-51). 

The win over Drexel was the first for the Huskies since 2016 and handed the Dragons their first loss at home this season. 

• Derin Erdogan reached double figures in both games, averaging 15.5 points and 7.5 assists per contest. 

Against Drexel, she tallied 21 points and a career-high eight assists. 

The junior guard has reached double figures a team-best 22 times this season, including 17-of-18 and 12 consecutive games. 

Additionally, Friday was her fifth game with at least 20 points this winter. 

• Gemima Motema added 13 points per game, scoring a team-high 16 against Hofstra and contributing 10 at Drexel. 

Motema has 10 or more in five consecutive games and 17 times this year. 

She added 3.5 steals per game and has recorded at least one steal in seven straight contests. 

• Against Drexel, Deja Bristol added a career-high 18 points and a team-best six rebounds in the effort. 

Bristol was 8-of-10 from the floor for her fifth game this season with at least 10 points. 

For the week, Bristol averaged 13.5 points, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals per game.

Stony Brook

• Stony Brook went 2-0 on the road this weekend, topping Charleston 82-75 on Friday, before a dominant 64-46 win over UNCW on Sunday. 

• Annie Warren averaged 20.5 points per game, including a season-high 30 points against Charleston. 

Warren was 8-for-15 from 3, and Stony Brook’s all-time leader in 3-point field goals became the first player in program history with over 200 3-pointers. 

She leads the CAA in 3-pointers per game (3.16) and 3point field-goal percentage (.409). 

• Sherese Pittman reached double figures in both games, contributing 15 points per game, with eight rebounds per contest. 

She had a near double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds against UNCW after 12 points and seven boards on Friday. 

The sophomore forward has scored at least 10 points in 20 games this season, including six in a row. 

• On Sunday, Gigi Gonzalez tallied 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting with three steals and three assists. It marks her seventh game this season with at least 20 points. 

Gonzalez has reached double figures in three of the past four games and 15 times this winter. 

Towson 

• Towson went 1-1 over the weekend, defeating William & Mary 66-59 on Friday night, before a 71-62 setback on the road against Hampton on Sunday. 

• Kylie Kornegay-Lucas averaged 13.5 points and 11 rebounds per game to lead Towson. 

In the victory, she recorded 10 points and a career-high 15 rebounds for her fourth double-double this season. 

On Sunday, Kornegay-Lucas had a team-high 17 points and seven boards. 

She has finished with double figures in 23 of the 25 games this season, including five straight. 

• Patricia Anumgba reached double figures in both games, adding 13.5 points per contest. 

On Friday, she went 7-for-9 from the floor with a career-high 17 points. She also matched a season-high with five rebounds in the effort. 

Anumgba has seven games in double figures this season. It's just the second time she has done it in back-to-back games.

• Quinzia Fulmore notched career highs in points and rebounds over the weekend. 

On Friday, Fulmore tallied 15 points in the win over William & Mary, before pulling down 12 rebounds in the weekend finale. 

It is the third time this season the sophomore forward has reset her career-high in points and the 12th time she has reached double figures.

William & Mary

• William & Mary dropped a 66-59 decision to Towson on Friday night, as the Tribe's four-game winning streak came to an end. 

William & Mary held a two-point lead entering the fourth but was outscored 19-10 in the final frame. 

• Sydney Wagner returned after a two-game absence to lead the Tribe with 20 points. She added four rebounds and three steals in the effort. 

Wagner has back-to-back 20-point efforts and has reached double figures in 12 straight games. 

The graduate guard has 10 or more on 20 occasions and 20 or more seven times. 

• Riley Casey contributed 16 points and four rebounds in the setback. It marks six straight games in double figures for the graduate student, who has 10 or more points in 18 games this season. 

Casey is averaging 20.5 ppg during the current six-game span. 

• Rebekah Frisby-Smith led the team in rebounds with five, adding five points, two assists, two steals and one block. 

Frisby-Smith has grabbed at least five rebounds in nine of the last 10 games. 

Additionally, she has recorded a steal in 11 straight games, with multiple steals in nine games during that stretch.
