Charleston's Privette Named Collegiate Baseball Preseason All-American
Charleston junior relief pitcher William Privette has been named to the Collegiate Baseball 2023 Preseason All-America second team.

Charleston junior relief pitcher William Privette has been named to the Collegiate Baseball 2023 Preseason All-America second team.
Privette, the 2022 CAA Pitcher of the Year, went 3-1 with a nation’s-best 0.91 ERA and a CAA-best 12 saves last season.
He struck out 80 batters in 59.1 innings and held opposing batters to a .148 average.
He became just the second consensus All-American in Cougars’ history, receiving second-team honors from Collegiate Baseball, the NCBWA and Perfect Game, and third-team accolades from the ABCA, D1 Baseball and Baseball America.
Privette was one of three finalists for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year award, becoming the first player in CAA history to be chosen as a finalist.
